We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will work across the entire software development lifecycle and play a key role in the continued evolution of a business-critical SaaS platform.

Combining hands-on development with technical ownership, you will influence architecture, development practices, and technical decisions while helping deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will become an important part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing, maintaining, and modernizing business-critical software solutions. You will work across frontend, backend, databases, integrations, and cloud services while taking responsibility for delivering stable, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

The role involves close collaboration with product stakeholders, developers, customers, and domain experts. Beyond implementation, you will contribute to technical design, support the modernization of existing services, and take ownership of solutions throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial requirements to stable production use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance software solutions across frontend, backend, and databases

• Translate product requirements into stable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions

• Develop APIs and integrations with external systems

• Contribute to the modernization of existing services and the reduction of technical debt

• Work with data models, SQL, reporting, and analytical datasets

• Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production follow-up

• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture, and development standards while taking ownership of deliveries from design through production

We Believe You Have:

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience

• Solid and documented experience developing and maintaining production-critical software solutions

• Experience developing transaction-intensive systems that process large volumes of business-critical data

• Experience with C#, .NET, SQL, relational databases, and modern frontend development using JavaScript or TypeScript

• Experience working with APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms such as Azure

• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices

• Experience taking responsibility for complete deliveries from requirements and technical design through deployment and production follow-up

• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience modernizing legacy or business-critical systems

• Experience with Azure services, message-based or asynchronous architectures, and scalable cloud solutions

• Experience with reporting, analytics, simulation, or data-intensive B2B products

• Experience integrating with ERP systems or other external platforms

• Experience with technical leadership, mentoring, or professional coaching

• Experience with customer dialogue, requirements gathering, or logistics-related solutions

The position is primarily based in Fredrikstad. We work mainly from the office, with flexibility to work remotely when needed.
